Description

Healthwatch are an independent champion for people who use health and social care services. Their purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services and to speak out on their behalf. They help people find the best way to raise any worries and concerns about current services so they can be addressed. They also provide an Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy Service across the county. Although most people using the health service are happy with their care and treatment, things can sometimes go wrong. If you’re not satisfied with the service you’ve experienced from a hospital, doctor, dentist, local surgery or other NHS provider, you are entitled to complain about it and Healthwatch are there to help you through the process.
