Your Rights as a Victim

As a victim of crime you have certain rights that you are entitled to, and these are set out in the Victims Code.

This code states that victims should be treated with dignity and respect, listened to and understood, and should be able to access necessary and appropriate information about the criminal justice system and available support services free of charge.  An easy read version of the code is available to view here.
